About the Programme :
Indian Institute of Management, Sambalpur has taken initiatives towards world class research on culture and sustainable management by setting up RANGAVATI CENTRE FOR EXCELLENCE IN CULTURE & SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT. This Centre of Excellence has been engaged in research and creation of knowledge on rich tradition of weaving, inclusiveness aspect of business in weaving, various aspects of vibrant culture, unknown aspects of armed and non-violent freedom struggle and various trends in political economy in post-independence era and sustainable management in western part of Odisha.
The Rangavati Centre, dedicated to promoting the globally renowned Sambalpuri art. multi-disciplinary approach has emerged as the latest academic study and research. The New Education Policy (NEP2020) has also laid stress on this aspect along with creation and wider dissemination of new knowledge generated by multi-disciplinary approach.
The Centre for Excellence has
been engaged high quality research; organizing national and international
seminars, conferences, creation, dissemination and publications of new
knowledge. The Rangavati Centre has been setup with the support and cooperation of Ministry of
Education, Government of India.
