Dr.V.G.Venkatesh is a corporate practitioner and an academic specializing in Global Supply Chain Management and Logistics. He is currently the Associate Professor in EM Normandie Business School-France (a leading FT & QS ranked school) and Senor Associate (LATAM) with NextPort, Colombia. He is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS-USA having nearly 20 years of industry and academic experience in global supply chain practices in different geographies such as Honduras, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, and Bangladesh, as well as in academia. His background is supported by a PhD in global sourcing and sustainability from Waikato University, New Zealand. He was the national scholarship holder (MHRD, India), and a recipient of prestigious International Fellowship from the University of Waikato, New Zealand. His name is nominated and selected recently for the ‘select list of global level influential and renowned scholars of the responsible business area’ by the University of Bath, UK (#ThinkAmplifyList).
His experience, as an industry trainer, in the areas of Supply Chain Management, Global Logistics, Strategic Procurement Management, Warehousing and Global Distribution Management, is evident in the corporate leadership programs across different geographies including Australia, New Zealand, China, India, and Colombia to the participants from P&G (Australasia), Arrow (NZ), Griffin Foods (NZ), CMA-CGM, Johnson and Johnson, Schlumberger (Colombia), Total logistics, ABB, Maersk, FedEx, DHL, Samsonite, and many others. Besides he delivered courses to leading universities such as La Sabana University, Colombia, University of Massachusetts- Boston, Auckland University of Technology- New Zealand, Symbiosis International- India.
He is the lifetime elected member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and currently serves as a global mentor of ISCEA (International Supply Chain Education Alliance, US) and professional member of other leading associations including International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME) and Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).
His research papers appear/accepted in reputable journals like Transportation Research, SCMIJ, IJPE, IJPR, ANOR, TFSC, PPC, and other leading outlets. He has presented papers at leading conferences in the USA, Australia, China, and Taiwan. He is currently co-supervising doctoral students in maritime transport, supply chain strategy, and global risk management areas. He is the invited/anonymous funding proposal reviewer to reputable accredited bodies and reputable journals, besides serving as the editorial board member of indexed outlets.
