Dr. Chandan Kumar Behera is a PhD scholar in marketing at the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. After earning his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Raipur, he spent 58 months as a sales and marketing manager in the steel and IT industries, managing both B2B and B2C portfolios. During this time, he worked closely with senior management to develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives. These experiences gave him valuable insights into market dynamics, consumer decision-making, and organizational challenges, which he now integrates into his teaching philosophy and research projects.
While his doctoral thesis focused on mobile payment and consumer credit, his research interests have expanded to advertising and broader consumer behavior, covering topics such as charity advertisements and corporate apologies.
