Dr. Akanksha Mishra is an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur. She obtained her PhD from IIM Mumbai and completed a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining academia, she served as Head of Corporate Business at a leading multi-speciality tertiary care hospital in Mumbai, where she led strategic initiatives and corporate partnerships. With over seven years of industry experience; she brings a unique blend of healthcare proficiency with managerial perspective to her academic and professional pursuits. Her professional journey encompasses diverse responsibilities at the Asian Heart Institute and Research Centre, Mumbai. Seven Hills Hospitals Mumbai, and Kohinoor Hospitals, Mumbai.
Her research has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Business Research, Global Business and Organizational Excellence, and the International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing. She has presented her research work in prestigious international academic conferences, including the Global Marketing Conference (GMC) held in Seoul, South Korea (2023), and Hong Kong (2025).
