Dr. Sarthak Mohapatra serves as an Assistant Professor at IIM Sambalpur. He completed his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, where his research focused on subsistence marketplaces and the intersections of dignity, spirituality and markets. Prior to his doctoral studies, he earned an MBA from XIM University, Bhubaneswar, and holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from the Odisha University of Technology and Research.
He is deeply committed to developmental research and draws on interdisciplinary traditions to advance the loftier ideals of human dignity, particularly in contexts of vulnerability and marginalization. His work has been published in reputable peer-reviewed journals and presented at leading international conferences.
Dr. Mohapatra is passionate about mentoring students to think critically about how marketing can serve as a force for addressing the pressing challenges of our time.
