Dr. Sanyka Banerjee is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the area of Strategic Management at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur. Prior to this, she was a full-time faculty member at the School of Management and Entrepreneurship, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur. She holds a Ph.D. in Technology Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of entrepreneurship, technology management, grassroots innovation strategies, and Base of the Pyramid (BoP) development. Dr. Banerjee specializes in empirical, evidence-based qualitative research, with a focus on the Indian innovation system and entrepreneurial ecosystems. Her recent research interest emphasises on the role of institutions on rural entrepreneurial clusters across India focusing on product and innovation management. She has published her research in reputed international journals and has presented her work at several prestigious conferences in the UK, USA, and other countries. During her tenure at IIT Jodhpur, she was awarded competitive funding grants by the Government of India to support the international dissemination of her research findings.
