Jimut Bahan Chakrabarty
Dr Jimut Bahan Chakrabarty is an Assistant Professor in the area of Operations Management at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur. Before joining IIM Sambalpur, he was a full-time faculty in the Production Operations Management & Quantitative Techniques (POMQT) area at the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) and a visiting faculty at IIM Kozhikode. He holds a Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode in the area of Quantitative Methods and Operations Management. He did his Master’s in Applied Quantitative Finance from the Madras School of Economics and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Cotton College. Prior to joining academia, he worked as a Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Limited. His research interest includes designing life test sampling plans, characterization of probability distributions, applications of machine learning, and sports analytics.
